I would love to know if there are solar dairies in Maine! I know that Lazy Lady Farm in Vermont has been running on solar and a small wind turbine for years. They milk goats, make and, age cheese- Laini is great and I would imagine that she would be up for some questions!

    Hi,

We are building a new milking parlor this year since by the summer I’ll be producing all the milk for my cheese here on the farm.

Anyone use solar for milking? And anyone using it for cheese making? Can we talk?

Also, I only have 3 cows in milk right now and it takes 3 days of milk to not freeze in my bulk tank. Any recommendations for an easier way to cool and store about 12 gallons a day?

    thank you,

    Allison
