We are so pleased that Marie Leroy of Caen, France will be our featured guest speaker at this years' July 24th all member meeting at the Maine Tasting Center, 506 Old Bath Road, Wiscasset 10am-2pm.

Marie gained a Master's Degree in Agronomy and Animal Production from Rennes, France in 2015.

The last 2 years, Marie has had a position at the PDO cheeses union in Normandy, France. She will discuss her current work with Camembert and two other PDO Normandy cheeses (Livarot and Pont l'Evêque) and similar projects she was doing previously at the Comté cheese Union. 

Marie has Maine family connections as well as having spent time with Kennebec Cheesery, and having worked 18 months at Smiling Hill Creamery. She and partner, Evan visit Peaks Island annually in the summer where Evan's parents have a home and Marie has graciously offered to spend some of her holiday talking to us about French cheeses.

We will also hold a brief Board business meeting, provide networking opportunities and encourage folks to bring a favorite for a potluck luncheon if they wish!
